An incredible and extremely rare Vintage Rolex Explorer 1016 Gilt Underline Glossy Oyster Perpetual Wristwatch Circa 1963. Timepiece is in overall excellent condition. Some scratches and marks in keeping with its age. Has retained original low done acrylic crystal. Original glossy radium underline dial has gorgeous honey colored hour plots and hands. Stainless Steel Oyster case is thick with well defined bevels and edges. Stainless steel bezel is sharp to the touch. Serial and case numbers are fully legible. Caseback is dated 1963 as well as the clasp on stretch style Oyster bracelet. Caliber 1560 Oyster Perpetual automatic movement is running and keeping time.
